According to my SE catalog, which I'm looking at right nActually, in oderow, there is a 1450 stage 2 and a 1550 stage 2.Actually, if you look at the order, again in this catalog, it goes
1450 stage1
1450 stage 2
1550 1
1550 2
1550 3
1550 4
I personally did the 1550 stage 2 and am quite happy with the results.Especially since I got 20% off the parts.Basically got the ignition kit free.

I think different sources have their own definition of what the Stage X kits contain. At Patriot H-D in Fairfax, VA they sell the kit installations as EFI Stage I Big Bore through EFI Stage 5 Big Bore. All the kits start out with a step up in displacement for the 88CI or the 95CI. H-D sells the breather kit as Stage I which can be installed in about 10 minutes but needs a remapping. Your next economic step past that would be a cam installation but it isn't listed anywhere that I have found as a Stage kit.

I didnt realize that there were so many different answers to this. I have an 07 Ultra and I had the dealer add a 103" Stage II kit, which included larger pistons and cylinders along with cams and a new mapand ahigh flow a/c. I kinda wish I had added the heads as well at the time just to give it a lil extra oomph, because in all honesty,... the 95" stage II kits will keep up with the 07 103" stage II kits which is somewhat surprising to me, because I honestly thought that the 103" would have been much stronger than a 95".

I still have find this any but here on this forum. There is alot talk out there, but on the street my lowride 96" with stage 1. I still looking for a 95" to ever past me. They do pull trailer good and haul well. But they still ride in theback of the pack.

You sure about that CraigC?
Uh, yeah! Like I said before, the "Stages" and increases in displacement are mutually exclusive. You can add displacement to any of them but the basic "Stages" are as I outlined above. You can have your Stage I-infinity and keep your 88" displacement. Or you can jump up to a 95" and still be a Stage I. The two are NOT connected. If Harley doesn't offer the "kit" you want, build your own. If you get a Stage II kit for your 88" and add a set of SE heads, guess what, you're running a Stage III.

Thanks for the link to the kit I have installed on my own bike, I'd never seen that before.

If you guys have a problem with what is posted on the HDForums Tech section, PM Terry and get him to change it.
