just purchased a 2017 FLHTCU, i need to know if i can take a trip on it, i have 150 miles on the bike, i need to visit my mother, she is about 400 miles one way from my location, i do not own a car so i have to take the bike, suggestions about getting there while bike is still below the 500 mile break-in,

You may want to vary the speed/rpms for the first 500 miles, but I agree with Omaha, you should be good to go.

seems like the best way to put those break in miles behind you. Like said, vary the RPMs, don't lug the motor and don't redline it either.

Just ride normally. Don't hot rod it and it'll be fine.

Ride your bike with a good head on your shoulders, but if it was me, I would probably take a buss.

Have fun on your ride. Don't keep a steady rpm, lug it or over rev it as stated. The break in period sucks so a trip like that will get it behind you quick.

The most critical is the first 50 and 150 miles. You are good to go, just ride normal.
