While recently making some changes, including my bars, I went from stock mirrors above the bars to custom mirrors below. Have not put tank back on yet, so not sure if I will like them that way or not.

Above the bars, stock location and stem length, but traditional 4" round mirrors with flat glass. I hate convex mirrors-too hard to judge distance in them.

Short, small ovals, on adjustable stems, directly over my hands.

Excuse me... what do I choose if I have bar end mirrors?

I don't. Just thought I'd ask.

Top of bar. Harley sells (or did sell) a mirror with extended length mount. I switched to those mirrors so I could see something beyond my shoulders.

I also added a small adhesive blind spot mirror to the glass on the left mirror, cost maybe $2 at Walmart. Its maybe 3/4" by 2" and what I like is I can adjust the angle of the mirror with my fingertip while riding to change the field of view. Been trying to find a similar adjustable small one without success for a while. Most are larger or non hinged.
