What exactly is a USB tender wire?
By chance do you intend to run a USB power port that gets powered by your SAE battery tender connector?
If so, keep in mind that your SAE battery tender connector is powered at ALL times.
If you keep your USB power port connected then it will draw power when the bike is OFF.
If you forget and leave the USB power port attached for a few days then the battery would drain.
Have you consider making your power attachment at the headlight nacelle.
Such attachment would only power the unit when the bike ignition was ON.
If you used an SAE connector then it would be rather hidden if not used and a simple fuse would keep things safe.
For a low draw situation you could attach to power in the nacelle with a posi-lock tap and make it a rather clean installation.

I had one (I think). If same thing it is for charging things such as phone.

Thanks for the idea! I had not thought about running it from the headlight light. Yes, a USB tender wire has a battery tender plug on one end and a USB port on the other.
I want to run a USB tender wire under the tank up to the bars on a 09 heritage.
The wire will definitely be touching the tops of the engine. I was wondering if these tender wires were "heat proof" don't want it melting on my trip.
Thanks in advance
TJ
The Tender wires will melt, please don't ask how I know this!
