Default Grip question...

Any of you have these grips on your bike? I like the look and they would match my highway bar pegs, but my concern is are they comfortable on longer trips? Do they chaffe the hands at all if riding without gloves??

Thanks!

Nice grips.
I wish I had some experience with them to help you.
However, I too, had a similar question about this and other grips like this.
Seems they would NOT be comfortable on long rides.
Also seems like gloves would be a MUST since they have so little rubber they're bound to get slippery in hot weather or in even a little rain.

I have the wide-band grips, almost like those but with three thick bands instead of the littler ones. Been doing 200 milers lately without problems....i would say they are good grips.

good luck

" slippery in hot weather or in even a little rain "

Yes, another good question! Are they slick at all with sweaty hands? Hot to the touch when parked in the heat of summer?

I don't have them but I want them. I love the way that they feel on my hands. I'm hoping that my OM will buy them for me. Nothing like a little creative pressure to get what I want.[sm=lildevil.gif]

Hehe, I'm sure he'll crumble quickly under that kind of pressure!

They look bitchin' but I just wanna make sure they're comfortable with bare hands cuz in summer I do ride alot without gloves, though lately I've tried the perorated leather fingerless H-D gloves and like them alot cuz I can manipulate everything easily and not have to take them off for the ATM machine, etc

I took them off in favor of the Performance Machine/Renthal grips which are by far the best I've seen or felt in a non-heated grip. The knock on them (Performance Machine) is the price.

I run those exact grips and I love them. They don't getso hot as to be uncomfortable in the summer.A throttle rocker is a big help as well because they do get a little slick when your hands sweat( not unsafe or unbearably slick). I,ve tried several different styles and I like these by far the best.If you run a throttle rocker be careful of the placement or you can actually knock the end cap off the throttle grip while riding. Don't ask me how I know this[:-]
