Front brake/caliper issue
I have a issue and figured id try and see if i could get any new ideas. I changed my front brake line and noticed that there was dot 4 in it instead of dot 5. I flushed the system and did the basic bleed process. I was at it until i used the full bottle and still no pressure on the caliper. The brake was a bit soft to begin with before replacement. Could the wrong flyid have broken down the seals inside the caliper causing me to have this problem. The bike is a 05 sportster 1200 costume.

Could be master cylinder. Rebuild kits are cheap and it's an easy job. I would start there. Might as well rebuild caliper too, also cheap and easy. Mixing the 2 fluids creates something like jello, that is a probable cause of them sucking to begin with.

I've bled a zillion cars in my life, and the first time I did a bike, I had the same experience you did. 2 different animals. Try this: squeeze the brake handle all the way in, and zip tie it to the grip. Leave it that way overnight. Oh, while at it, tap lightly on the caliper at various places with a mallet, which does help moving micro bubbles.
In the morning, cut the zip tie and see how the handle feels.
