Mine isn't a "chopper" but it has a fat tire. It hasn't crapped out yet.

As long as your buddy is aired up he shouldn't have a problem.

Air it up and he'll probably be fine*. If he's the builder, he should know his lean angles and how they compare to a stock bagger when he's fully aired up. If his current angles are close to stock, he shouldn't have any issues if he goes slow. He could also take the bags off if he's really concerned about it. If it were my bike, I sure wouldn't want to rash up the bags.

I'm "only" running a 21" front wheel but I left the front forks with the stock height set-up and threw on 13" shocks in the back - I still drag in some corners, just have to be careful and it helps if you put on the metal bottom guards on the bottom of the bags that way if you do drag, you won't trash the $1,000.00 bags.
Pikes Peak does get a bit tight, especially at the top - limit your time at the top to no than 20-30 minutes & go early before the afternoon storms roll in

Usually there are fail safes that are installed so the bike will not fall flat and not be able to be ridden.

LOL, not my buddy. Somebody else did the original post.

He already has a spare sittting boxed up ready to fedex overnight in case he needs a tire. I've been up it before without scraping the boards on the street glide(at least not unintentionally) I think he's gonna be fine when he pumps the suspension all the way up.

We are heading there next week and should be doing the Peak 1st thing if weather permits. Why the time limit of 20-30 minutes? Storms every afternoon? Thanks
