I have an odd question that I don't know if others experience it. On long rides I have noticed that at a certain point in time, my nose gets really itchy. I wear a 3/4 helmet with a face shield, and I'll reach under it and squeeze or rub my nose. The relief is not long lasting. So I was wondering is this just typical of riding a Harley? Or is it due to the helmet situation? Or does anyone have a remedy. I've seen people with face masks and wondered does this help. Thanks again.
Try putting a thin layer of vaseline inside your nostrils with a Q-tip before riding. It seems to help. I've experienced the same thing. Helps the sneezing too. The worst for me though, is my eyes burn and start watering BAD after riding a few hours in the heat with sunscreen on my face.
Happens to me also, on the sg and the goldwing, so not hd only. I notice the more I scratch, the itchier it gets. Ignore it and it will go away in a minute.
