Yes, but he is talking about headlight cleaners for Harleys and the headlight lens is glass so discussions on plastic car headlight cleaners are irrelevant, though what you say is correct for cars.

I wet sanded and then compounded the plastic ones on my mom's car and it worked great. The problem is it does not last long. I have been told you can use the 3M type clear plastic film, and it will make the lenses clear again. I have not tried it, but the guy that did the protectant for my CVO says he does headlight's on cars, so it probably works.

Your glass CVO is fine, however, the polycarbonate lenses on some cars may craze if there's a clear bra over the plastic. Many in the C6 Corvette community found this out, the hard way.

I was actually talking about the paint on my CVO (I was not clear). He was saying the same stuff he uses on paint works on headlights.

Spray an old sock with Deep Woods Off and then wipe the headlight lens down. It's magic. Really!

Definitely worth a try. Everybody wants the easiest way out, and sounds like this could be it. I'll try it. Thanks.

It works. You'll have to re-apply it occasionally though as it weathers away over the period of a few weeks. Just be sure to use the Deep Woods Off.
