Default Riding with MS

OK, I'll admit I laughed when I read the title of the FB group the HP writer referenced on the HP:

We’re Not Drunk, We Have MS.

But I think it's amazing that there are folks who look this terrifying condition right in the eye and continue doing what they love to do. I just can't imagine what I would do I were faced with a diagnosis of something like MS, but I'd hope I could handle it the way those folks did.

My wife suffers from MS. It totally blows. Her balance can get so bad I will not let her ride with me anymore. She jerks around un unbalances the bike to much. Really saving for a trike, but they are pricy, and even used are over 20k when you can find one...

I don't know if it's a good idea to ride with that condition.

My wife suffers from Parkinson's and does not drive.

Agreed that riding with a condition like that could be really dicey...

I'm all for overcoming a disability and riding your bike until your 6 ft under (I do it myself and hope too) but MS? I'm not sure I'd ride beside someone who might start twitching out and loose control of the bike... even for a second... at any given moment.

I'd have to know them and their condition, intimately before I'd even consider it.

I have many symptom indicating possible MS, but after seeing many doctors, I still have no official diagnosis. Cannot ride due to balance issues, double vision, weakness..... I gave the last of my bikes to a good friend a couple weeks ago.
