The one I used and was very comfortable in was a Big Grizzly Cot. not as small or as light as some but the others were not as well made or heavy duty as the Big Grizzly. I would never tour and camp without it. It is 32" wide that made it much more comfortable than the 24" ones. Amazon has them but you can probably find one cheaper somewhere else. Think I paid about $50 for mine but don't remember where.

I did and your point is ? Difference in liking it cool out while sleeping and having that bone ache from sleeping on the cold ground, hence why he's looking for a cot maybe...

Why not just get a hammock? Mine with fly rolls up to about the size of a boot. Set up/take down is about 5 minutes.

Your body will spend all night trying to heat the cold air in the mattress,, it's a no win situation.
You should actually try a road trip and/or camping before you comment.
Negative. Actually very comfortable and I have at least 3 of the Coleman types.

One thing OP did not post unless I overlooked is what bike they are riding. That would help with gear suggestions.

maybe you should step out of your cave and actually do a long distance/extended camping trip.
Your an idiot if you believe an "air mattress" won't steal heat from your body,, all night long.

I have used this cot on many camping trips with the Scouts as well as motorcycle trips over the past 5 years. Longest period of time that I used it was 8 consecutive days at Sturgis when we rode there from VA.

For size comparison, here is a pic of a 3 person tent (next to the flag), sleeping bag (in front of the sleeping bag), and the the cot (middle-top of the tent and sleeping bag) on the luggage rack.

The cot is expensive but my back is thankful every time I use it.
This! I have the Therma-a-Rest LuxuryLite cot and use a Therma-a-Rest self inflating pad with the cot. Very comfortable, and the cot keeps you up off the ground. As a result, I haven't experienced cold from the ground. Hope this helps!

I use to backpack in Sierras. Put this underneath pad for insulation and wrap when it really got cold. Very lightweight snd compact
