V&H reg baffles or quiet baffles or BCT baffles???
My recently purchased used '06 Superglide came with V&H BSS exhaust. It was quite loud as compared to my Vulcan, so I ordered the V&H quiet baffles. The exhaust with the regular baffles was growing on me by the time I received the quiet baffles, but not as "deep" of tone that I was looking for. I replaced the stock with the quiet baffles. They aredefinately quieter with a deeper tone, but not exactly what I was hoping for. I did fire my 'glide up with no baffles and didn't notice much difference than with the stock baffles.
My questions are:
1)How would BCT baffles compare in loudness and deepness to the 2 V&H baffles?
2) Since I had my 'glide dyno'd with the quiet baffles, if I change to BCT baffles:
a) Would it need dyno'd again?
b) Since my numbers from the dyno were a little weak (65 hp& 69 torque),
wouild the BCT baffles improve the hp & torque?
RE: V&H reg baffles or quiet baffles or BCT baffles???
I had the regular baffles in my 05 WG, put in the quiet baffles. Seemed to like those. I couldn't leave well enough alone and bought the BCT baffles. Very loud. Tone was ok but, I guess I liked the tone from the quiet baffles better. Took the BCT baffles out, reinstalled the quiet baffles. Again changed the baffles back to the BCT and I don't know for sure but I seemed to think it didn't have as much torque as with the quiet baffles. Again put the quiet baffles in and that is what is going to stay.
