So I take it the forum isn't a spot to go to get advice for something you know nothing about..... unless you've been riding 20 years!
I came to the forum and asked for advice on learning to ride motorcycles and suggestions on how to approach this sport. I got nothing but great advice from several points of views. All was extremely helpful as a new rider. Everyone was willing to help. I'm sure you'll get help, if you ask! I'm thankful to the 20 yr riders! A lot of experience to learn from!!
Aloha mauijohn
But the older crowd, including me, likes to mix in a little sarcasm and ball busting. And some guys are just flat out ashokes ... yep we all fall into this category, somewhere between the left and the right
In response to your original post that didn't quite get where you were looking to go.
Welcome from Minnesota! Also I find the wind plays a big factor in feel. If I have a decent tail wind, 70 will feel like 40. If I have a decent head wind, 70 is a fight and its lifting my helmet off my head and rag dolling me as if I was doing over 100. Briefly look at the tops of the trees while your riding to check on the direction of the wind to take that into account. Welcome!
