I love this shot. True old school, frame tipped up... This, being pretty much all I know about you, is all I need to know to say 'Dude you are cool'
Riding test!#$%! Love it...
So I am seeing these in the 6 - 10K range with pristine examples 15K+. King/Queen seat, tall pipes and sissy, pan or shovel... It's what i have been searching for. If I came across a bike just like that, there would be some serious decision making to be done. Cheers man and thanks!
Thanks! It's difficult to think that the picture is 47 years old.
I initially paid $750 for it, a months after I got out of the Marines. It was a jockey shift, plus I didn't have a license and had never ridden a bike before. But I knew what I wanted and what I wanted it to look like. I added the sissy bar, pipes, seat, front end and all of the chrome.
If I could ever get off my dead ***, I've got a photo album of pictures of it before I added stuff and my club days. The album is boxed up but I never think about looking for it and haven't for 13 years.

Now I need to correct my previous comment. You are not cool. You are freaking cool!
1970s being almost a half century ago is truly depressing to me. Best decade in the history of the world and always will be.
This is mine from the 70's. This frame was made with springs in the rear before Jammer made them. I rebuilt the engine with 70 over pistons, had the flywheels balanced, put andrews gears in the tranny. Also molded in 59 caddy tail lights and I painted it magenta. It is in my garage now but repainted with Blue pearl from House of color. Changed engine Drive gear to 24 tooth and could stand this baby up in first gear. Never knew what top speed was after 120. So much torge that I ripped the hub off the rear invader mag.

Well glad I survived it. But don't forget EXPENSIVE auto insurance, the end of the ORIGINAL muscle cars, Gas Shortage / Gas Lines, HIGH gas prices for the time, Watergate and Jimmy Carter.
I do miss the Custom vans with custom paint jobs. I have been hoping they would come back in style.
Ok, I will show off a little! I am super into choppers, and build them basically from scratch. From the handlebars to the axles, wheels, controls and even some engine components are made by me. This is my latest build, I started with a 1979 Shovel mill and a title.

Fantastic! Pretty hardcore garage build right there.
