That's one of the worst photoshop jobs I've ever seen. Not only the mistakes of having the bike backwards but the obvious difference in color and sharp lines. Yes, I'm a photographer and notice these things but that one is so obvious a blind man could see that.

Exactly, but then again I guess it's no worse than the catalog they send every quarter with all the models posing in the latest boutique clothing and accessories.

This happens when whoever is doing the layout 1) doesn't understand bikes and 2) then decides that for page composition purposes, the image works better when it's flipped.

And yes, whoever did and approved that photoshop job should be fired. It's just bad.
