My original plan was to put the bike in the basement for the winter, install my sony 5710 stereo, hogtunes speakers, and a hidden antenna in the fairing.
Now.......... the bike is going into the dealers for the winter, having a stage 2 95" kit installed,SE 2 pipes, auto primary chain adjuster, having the cam chain tentioners replaced(wanted gear drive ,but coin isnt there for it this year)
Dealer will winter prep & store the bike free,in their heated building till spring,$1,536.00 for the stage 2.
My warrentee runs out in january,so nows as good a time to get into the engine to see whats making all the noise,or should i say "normal noise" ,give me a fairly fresh bike come spring.
In central MD we usually have a few days each month that are ride worthy. I keep my RK in a Cycle Shelter (in my garage) connected to a trickle charger.
When it snows or gets too cold to ride, I install all the chrome do-dads I bought over the summer and didn't have time to mess with.
But, if my dealer offers the same incentives as last winter, I'll be upgrading the cams (maybe gear driven if they don't want too much $).
Well............ took my last ride of the season yesterday morning, partly sunny 31 degrees, was time to drop the bike off at the dealers for the stage 2 big bore,SE2 slip-ons and some other maintenance work, and to be put away in the dealers heated (55-60 degree's)building for the winter. I'm already missing my bike,LOL but with the heavy rain this morning,I think it was a good choice to drop it off yesterday, and not be faced with trying to muscle it into the basement for the winter. I Hope that come spring i'm pleased with the upgrades, and find the bike has abit more grunt/pull on the hills and passing on the highway, fingers are crossed, lol
I can tell it's going to be a long winter, waiting for spring to come
spring...... install my sony 5710 and my hog tunes speakers
All of So Cal is experiencing population growth. The problem is inflation in the housing market. Real estate values have skyrocketed over the last few years.
People are selling out and retiring in other states and buying homes comparable to what they left here for 1/4 of the price. Make moving out here a real shock.

I'm going to change hand grip, rear foot pegs, and add some chrome to the motor. Will also attempt to change over to a road King 7" headlight. To many other toys to make any big changes.
I'm going to go with the full Kuryakyn Panacea setup - LED tailight, front and rear signals and get the pager/siren for the alarm. I'm also thinking of going with some mild cams and a gear drive. That's it... so far!
