The new Softails look like Japass, and I would NOT be seen riding one. Your Lowrider is awesome, 'specially with the 120R. I would keep it.
Glad I'm not the only one. The new softails faux oil tank reminds me of a Honda shadow. The soul that made a Harley special is gone, no lumpy idle or 2v heads. It's as close as it can get to a Honda while still having a Harley badge.
Maybe Harley should call Yamaha or Honda? They've been building 4 valve heads for over 20 years now and can at least build a reliable motorcycle.
I really like my 2015 slim it has 9500 miles on it I have looked at the 18s but I will keep my 15 besides I only like the look of the slim or heritage softtail
Krouke You are correct "to each their own opinion 2018's." So here is My opinion I don't care any more for the 2018s than I did from the 08s to the 18s. My 07 was, and still is my favorite Harley ever built. The color is perfect, and the build is just right. So there you have it, my opinion. Of course you know what they say about opinions LOL They are like butt holes every one has one and most of them generally stinks.
That's how I feel about my 2000 RK. I've owned a bunch of HDs, including up to new a '17, but still like my RK best. I had a '94 Heritage I wish I'd never sold, but I learned my lesson on that one. I think the new bikes & technology have just gone beyond what I consider a Harley. Probably not a bad thing, just not something I'm interested in.
I've ridden the 2018 low rider and own a 2014 fxdl. The 2018 is okay. Just doesn't have enough power. Frankly, the funnest bike I have ridden lately is that KTM 1290 Super Adventure R. Harley should be putting out that kind of power for goodness sake.
HD is due to release a 2018.5 ... hoping it's something good.
OP, no WAY would I trade a 120 Low Rider for any stock bike. New, or otherwise.
That bike is just shocks, fork cartridges and a stabilizer away from nirvana, in terms of Harley performance.
