In response to nobodyknowsme and zodder I already removed the backrest, rack, pegs and that crazy comfortable but ugly as sin seat! thinking of going with Mustang tripper solo seat or Saddlemen tattoo solo. I had two pair willie G pegs in the bottom of my tool box so put them on for now,
You be smarter than the average bear. Look forward to seeing pics with the stripper look.
That was the kind of bike I really wanted when getting my first harley. At the time I knew my wife wouldn’t need be any more comfortable on it than my current......dare I say Suzuki intruder. So I opted for the ultra classic. Congrats on a great deal
Thanks for all the fine comments on my new to me softail standard !! I am looking to purchase a solo seat for it in the near future and have gone back through the older threads on this site and find most of them closed and searched through the softail standard pictures section and am undecided what seat to buy ? I am looking for that slammed minimalist look like the Le Pera Bare bones gives the bike but would like a bit more comfort! I have a Bare bones on my Super Glide and like the way it looks, but it is torturous on my back! any suggestions on what some of you guys have used on your softails would be appreciated !! Thanks in advance
Good luck with your righteous new sled but...I'd lose the Willie G pegs. Just sayin'
.
This may be a first but I have to agree with you. I decked out one of my bikes in everything Willie G. After a while it got quite old.

I look for 2 things in a seat. The cool factor and comfort. That being said all of my bikes have been touring. One of the most comfortable I have ever had was a Mustang but that was long ago. I bought the same seat a few years ago and the comfort sucked. Maybe I just got a bad one but was enough to make me stay away from them. I have 3 seats just for my RGS and the most comfortable/coolest looking is the Danny Gray Airhawk. If they make one for your bike I would go that direction.
