I really liked the looks of the Fat Bob and went to a dealer to see it shortly after it was released. Unfortunately with that exhaust it will have limited luggage options and didn't seem as comfortable for 2up. Basically it would be like the LR-S in function to me except for there are more bags for the LR. Great looking bike though and if I didn't have a sport bike I would definitely have a new Fat Bob.

Tourpack off and new exhaust installed

With tourpack on a trip last year.

Wife and I picked out the bike together and we bought an 05 Road King Custom. She had the better credit score so it is financed in her name and she always gives me a hard time about making changes to her "Harley" even though she doesn't know how to drive it. She is great as a passenger and this is the first two wheel motorcycle she has ever been on. I also have a 2013 Spyder STS that broke her into the riding scene about 2 and a half years ago. Then I got the bug to get back on two wheels so we bought the Road King and the Spyder has been parked for a year and a half. I get it out about once a month during riding season to blow the dust out of the engine and get the fluids pumping. Keep up on oil changes and draining the fuel tank each year until I can get it sold and out of my garage. Haven't looked back since the Road King..

LOL, a poor little rebel would weep every time I climbed up on it. I took the MSF course on a Nighthawk but one little guy was on the Rebel they had. There is also someone at work who rides one that might be older than I am. Mad respect but no way!

I've got an appointment on Saturday to go look at the LR-S and the RK as well as a Heritage Classic. Not buying anything this weekend but it will get me pointed in the right direction.

And not to muddy the waters any more than they already are, don’t forget the Sport Glide - only comes with the 107 but has the quick pop bags and mini fairing. Not sure if there are any decent 2-up seats yet but it’s got the quick release bags already, so that’s a plus for weekend trips...

Suggested that one, wife already turned her nose up at that one as well as the Street Glide. She doesn't care for the batwing fairing. I also don't care much for a fairing as I felt like I got a lot of buffeting but was more comfortable on the Road King because of the seating position and the wind did not affect me much.

I never rode one, and they were never popular, but you might want to check out a Switchback.
