Yea, Rollin' is kind of an icon on ADVrider. He's got about 30 Iron Butt rides under his belt. Certified ones too, not just claimed. He documents a lot of his rides on ADVrider so it's fun to pour a coffee on a Saturday morning and thumb through his ride reports.
I had no issues on 191 Moab to Jackson Hole. Riding in northern Montana taught me to look for a gas station when the fuel gauge is getting to the half mark. It still gets stretched out once in awhile though, that’s when CAA/AAA come to the rescue. I have considered a Reda gas can but once I stared keeping the top half full and not trying to stretch the gas stops out I haven’t had much of an issue.
Nobody stops to lend a hand on the highway anymore. I ran out of gas in Wyoming once, with one motorcycle with an empty tank it didn't matter how much hose I had, nobody stopped. Must have been almost 10 motorcycles went by not to mention numerous cars, nobody stopped, except a sate trooper named Harley. Nice guy, he had to stop and check out the bike. Thanks for stopping to check Harley, even though I had gas on the way. I will never pass another bike on the side of the road now with out at least getting a wave that everything is OK.
