Is this exceptable

HI ALL

Firstly, great to be here
i wanted to ask if this is normal, I ordered new polish aluminium cam covers for my Vrod, and on receiving them they were badly marked, I tried many products to polish out the marks with no success, went back to Harley and they said that this is how they are and I have no reason for a refund or replacement.
can I ask you guys what u think, am I excepting to much?

any tips on how I can get these marks out, it’s for a custom build so I would like them removed

You'll need a motorized polishing wheel that sets on a bench or work table and 3 or 4 different grades of polishing grits/compounds.

Looks like that will take some serious elbow grease, and a lot of time. Maybe order another set and send the worst set back.

The nice thing about polishing aluminum, is that you don’t run out of material like you would with platings. Do what others suggested. By polishing with a bench grinder & attachments, or a power drill. Look on Utube for vids on polishing fork legs, and apply those techniques.

Edit:/or, you could have them chrome plated.
