To the OP: you arent that far from Boise. High Desert Harley has been great. They have lots of used bikes and a ton of new ones. They are always looking to deal. Might be worth the trip to Boise if you can get a good deal.
Gonna have a few discussions with the wife and start talking numbers with my local dealer ship (Lone Wolf). Should I be trying to get OTD price from other Dealers as well?

Absolutely, why wouldnt you want to shop around? It may take a little time to get that great deal but itll be worth it. Dont be afraid to travel some to get the bike either. Basically, dont limit yourself to just one core area.
I've bought three different bikes from dealers in WA, and I always call around first.
First one was in Yakima, awesome.
Second one was in Olympia, ok experience
Third was from Eastside in Bellevue, was actually awesome.
Why do you think you will like the Harley's? You must already like something about them. Do you like the way they sound when you hear them on the street? Do you like it when you see people in group rides? Do you like the way they look when you see them on the street? If that is so, what are the specific ones that you see that you like and imagine yourself on? Are you already imagining yourself on one?
There are a lot of people who buy Harleys, really nice, expensive ones. They ride them a few times and then they realize they do not like them. This is the one you should try to buy. You can get a really really nice bike from someone like this at a really good price.
I think I have always had a thing for Harley's but my youth, financial situation and desire for a sport or adventure bike all worked against getting one. I didn't want someone's high mileage used bike or a lower cost entry model. I think a motorcycle, and a Harley in particular is an individuals way of expressing themselves.
I wasn't ready to just cruise before and that's all I want to do now. Just kick back and ride, by myself or a good group of like minded friends.
I am ready for this kind of motorcycle and finally have the means to afford exactly the kind of ride I want
Ok everyone, tell me what you think. I found a used Street Glide Special with extremely low miles for a great price. I would have to travel to get it, which isn't a huge issue. It is private party bike a 2016 and has extras, v&h fuelpack, stage 1 screamin eagle with v&h slip ons and some others. Add says it has transferrable warranty.
Will the mods make the warranty void? I wouldn't be taking it to where it was purchased for warranty work either.
Should I be worried about the performance parts and the extreme low mileage? Its a 2016
The warranty question is a bit of a bag of worms. The big thing with that one is it's a 2016, they changed it for 2017s. If it was a 2017 or newer they could technically void it with changing the stage 1, the question then becomes weather or not the dealer would choose to mention the mods kinda deal. Sorta like weather or not a cop will give you a ticket if you don't cross at the cross walk... he can, the question is would he.
On a 2016 I don't know for certain, but the general opinion about it seemed to be as long as it didn't cause the problem you're fine. Being a 2016 I'd see when he bought it and how much warranty it has left.
If it's the same ad I found I wouldn't worry about it only have 1,000 miles, the plates say Alaska. Not much of a riding season there. See if he did the 1000 mile service.
