I collect them as souveniers of all the places I've traveled. As pictured above in Marks post, they are an adhesive backedsticker that a dealer will put on the top of your oil dipstick after they have serviced your bike. Each dealer has their own made up with their name and location on it. They're alot cheaper (most dealers will just give them to you, but some charge) than t-shirts and take up a lot less saddlebag space.
seems most dealers are not making them anymore. I collect shot glasses and a Tshirt normally as most dealers never have the dang dots.
I wonder ifthey've quit making themin the last year or so, because I've never been to a dealer that didn't have one.
maybe they just dont put themout or hand them out like they used too. It used to be they were right by the register when you left...... most the time they were free.
They are actually called dealer dots around here, I have 10-12 of they from dealers I've traded bikes with. Some dealers stick them on the oil dipstick and some stick them on the steering neck cap, they are flat, curved,(for Sportster oil cap) or concave. On day they'll be worth MILLIONS!
