You would think illegals might stick around after crashing in a sanctuary state knowing they wont be deported. But then again, why take a chance and that's why they flee.

Here in SC a few years back there were alot of Illegals with Tenn license plates because at the time it was easy to get plates there without proof of insurance. Most of them involved in an accident would run for that reason. Don't know if that has changed or not but I don't see as many of them with TN plates now

Most of the HNR's around here are actual "hit and RUN" type things. The perp actually gets out of the car/truck and runs off, before they can be tested. Drugs/citizenship/visa status...

In Florida ALONE, there were over 99 thousand hit and run accidents in 2016. Are you F-ing KIDDING me!!!

California Hit and Run Statistics
Hit and run accidents are a problem in California, especially in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department reports about 20,000 hit and run crashes each year. Here are some hit and run statistics from the California Highway Patrol:- About 11 percent of all police reported crashes involve a driver leaving the scene
- 1,500 people are killed in hit and run crashes each year
- About 60 percent of hit and run accident victims are pedestrians
- Almost 20 percent of pedestrian deaths are related to hit and run accidents
- Hit and run accidents represent 10 percent of all fatal injury accidents
