Default Accessory Switch

Recently bought a 16 CVO Street Glide. The problem I'm having is every so often my trip meter A and B are reset to zero. I do use my accessory switch a lot, so I'm thinking by holding in the accessory switch which is also used to reset the trip meters I'm inadvertently resetting the trip meters. anyone else run into this. Is the only cure for preventing this is non use.
Thanks Jonnierock

What accessory switch are you talking about? The trigger switch on top of the left hand control cycles thru the odometer, trip meters A & B and R for remaining. Holding it down while on a trip meter resets it to zero.

It's not a problem with the switch function, it's holding the switch down too long when you're in that mode of display. I've done by accident and it is annoying but once you figure out how long it takes to reset those trip functions ,you'll be a lot more careful.

That’s what I’m thinking. Wondering why they would have a setup like that, where you want to put in accessory mode and you end up inadvertently reset you trip meter

The odometer/trip meter on your bike has an "Accessory mode"? What does your bike's Owner's Manual say about using it?

Remember that you can only put the system in accessory mode if the run switch is off, you can then press and hold the mode cycle button until the system goes into accessory mode. To turn that mode off, just repeat the process. This is on my Road Glide so I assume the Street Glide operates the same way.
I have reset the trip by mistake before but as you get used to the function your know what not to do.
