Anyone familiar with Hogpro? I am considering buying their Kit to put a 200MM with a 40 spoke on the back of my '06 Deuce. Their tech department says it will fit easily with everything included in their kit. However, I have been told by an HD mechanic it won't fit without some minor machine work, (grinding)on theinside of the swingarm. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks George C
Have you had any experience with Hogpro? Do you know anyone who has bought their 200MM kit for the Deuce? They have a pretty good price. APPX $1500.00 for the wheel, tire and all installation hardware. I'm just a little leary since a trusted friend and HD mechanic said it won't fit as easily as they say it will. I don't want to get it only to find out I need to start grinding and repainting my swingarm.
What is all the installation hardware?A 40 spoke wheel and tire isn't $1500.00I stuffed a Metzeler 180, it's damn near as big as an Avon 200, in my '02 without grinding anything. It's tight, bit it will fit.I just looked at the kit.Good price for it.The pain is taking off the inner primary to swap the belt.
Man Please is everybody lookin at a bigger tire and forged wheels. I've been seeing a lot of Hogproproducts on Sale !
Is something new coming for 2008?
I found a dealer that offered me RC componets wheels that cost 1199.00 for 920.00 ea. in forged chrome wheels and the rotors marked down real cheap too. If I buy the stuff he will mount and balance the tires and stick em on the bike. I just gotta make the drive www.bikersimage.com
I got a 160/70/17 tire on a 4.50 rear wheel on back. Rc is telling me I can put a 5.5 wheel on a 180\55 18 tire on my fxwg.
I'm lookin at a break line that will be close to the tire if I do it.
I got the Harley dealer telling me it won't go also. RC says let Harley do the mechanic work and leave the tires and wheels to them.

Thanks for the input from everyone. My main reason for putting the 200MM tire is I am getting rid of theugly rear wheel some one decided to design for the Deuce. What the heck is up with chroming everything on the bike then put that crappyrear wheel. Even if it were chrome it would be hardly tolerable. I want toreplace it with a 40 spoke.I figured I would put the biggest tire I coud get under the fender at the same time. It's beginning to sound likethe 180 with a stock Harley 40 spoke may be the way to go.Plus a lot less money.
You could try DM Customs Chubby Tail kit. I put one on my Fatboy. Stock swingarm and belt. Had to cut off the fender supports. Installed 18" rims so no problem clearing the caliper.
