Not ME!! I always wanted HARLEY DAVIDSON and I will always want HARLEY DAVIDSON. Some of those customes are cool and I like to look at them but I would never own one. I want my bike to say HARLEY DAVIDSON and that's it. I think it's more the history. Customs are great if you plan to keep the same thing forever cause you will never get your money back or even close to it. My opinion and my opinion alone.

A lot depends, to me. I've always wondered why a company didn't come out, building 'minimalist' bikes. All black engine (cheaper than chrome)..aluminum accents. They could build a 'cheap' bike, but not low quality. They could, in turn, sell a nice looking bike, cheap.
