Hi.... as a newby on here, firstly I wanna say gidday from Australia..... 😎 would appreciate any advice, feedback negative or positive .....
Due to circumstance I am in the market for a Dyna and have located a really nice 2013 superglide custom... 96cu. This bike is in pristine condition with only 7500ks obviously I will be talking to my mech. about preventive maintenance would appreciate any input from Dyna custom owners... cheers and thanks in advance.... Lozza.
I think you are looking in the right direction, but Be Warned, because once you trade up, you will start thinking about Road Kings.
Wow... not sure what happened here.... lol I started out asking about Dyna's pro and cons as I am about to step up from a really really nice sporty to a really realy nice Dyna all I wanted to know was what to look out for and what are their mechanical flaws that I can either prevent ir at least keep an eye on.
From that came this debate about sporties.... grrrrr that was never my intention as I am saddened to have to part with my sporty sport.
You're gonna love that Dyna, I have a 2002 XL 1200 stage 1 carbed sporty. After having it for about 10 months I saw a Dyna that I had to have, so I bought it! ( 35 th Anniversary Super Glide. 88ci )
The Sporty's a great bike, but the Dyna's unbelievable! Definitely has a bigger set of *****, faster, and better handling. Did a stage 1 with a PV1 tuner....Love mine, so I'm gonna keep both!
If you're a fat man like me (losing it slowly), you'll look like you're still on a sportster! My wife is learning on hers right now, and I found it a blast to ride home and then ride it to our parking lot practices. It might not of had the straight line grunt the dyna does, but she will probably outpace me on a twisted road. It is significantly a heavier feel on the dyna, but once you get your feet up you get accustomed real quick.
