Check out Tobacco Motorwear. They fit just like a pair of 501s and are very comfortable. https://tobaccomotorwear.com/

Prices are coming down for much of the protective pants with armor/kevlar. I've found several pair for about $65-80 shipped with BOTH kevlar lining in the butt/knee/hip/side leg area or all over AND Armor pieces for hips and knees. Some are coming from UK, some from Australia, and some from Pakistan, with those from Pakistan being the cheapest price at about $65-70, and others ranging as high as $380. I understand that, to a degree, "you get what you pay for", but the variances in price seem to be so drastically different, but the materials are SUPPOSED to be the SAME, so WHY would I spend 2-5Xs MORE for something that's basically the same thing? I'd rather have more money to either get MORE pairs of pants OR get more stuff for my bike than pay through the nose for something that isn't THAT much better. Probably the MOST protection you can get would be leather pants with armor that are also kevlar lined, but they can be REALLY expensive! I've seen them starting about $100 and going up to about $500!! However, that's definitely NOT the most practical attire to wear to work. I'm considering getting some of those kevlar lined armored jeans, though, as I have a little cash from a seat sale to use to get them.

Sometimes, at motorcycle rallies, you can get some there at a DEEPLY discounted cost. I picked up one pair at a local rally for $40 on the last day of the rally, because the vendor didn't want to pack them up and take them home, but they only had a couple "pad" pockets in the hips and all over the butt and knee areas. Still, they don't feel that much different from regular jeans, and aren't really any hotter, so could be worn to work, if you don't have to "dress up". I've also seen lots that look like "cargo pants" with the pockets on the side of the legs, with kevlar lining for about $80 all over eBay, too. It all depends on your wallet and how well protected you want to be, verses dealing with high temps/heat.

I am extremely happy with my Hood jeans. The quality is unbelievable and the price wasn’t too bad.

I am happy with mine too, however I don't like how a belt fits. It may be the hip armor or the placement of the belt loops, so I use suspenders. Another thing is that they are drip dry and take a long time to dry--even in sunny weather. This makes them a non-touring item for me which is ok because I find scrubs and overpants way more comfortable anyway. The fit, especially length which they will customize, is good, quality first rate and service was excellent. They will send you swatches of material if you want to look before ordering.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check these out.

Sweet....I'll check these out.

The jeans are fully lined in something akin to kevlar and I felt really protected in them. However, it was really bulky and a real hassle off the bike or when I got to work and changed pants. Now I wear a pair of RevIt Philly 2 jeans with knee and hip armor and kevlar in the impact areas. They are a little stretchy so they are really comfortable and the armor is pretty thin and flexible. They fit well and don't look different than plain jeans. They are the bare minimum I would accept for protection but they are enough protection that I don't feel like it was too much of a compromise. When these wear out I think I want to try some jeans from Resurgence but I may stick with RevIt unless something better is available.
Overpants would work especially if you can't really change once you get to work since you can just unzip and put them in a bag and you're good to go. A friend of mine just got some kevlar leggings with pockets for armor in the knees and hips. He will wear them under regular pants and it seems like a good option but they will get hot because it's like wearing sweatpants under your jeans while sitting on an oven. Hope that helped some!
Helped out a lot, thanks for the advice.

I have a pair of Scorpion Covert kevlar lined jeans. They look like normal jeans but are heavier and warmer with the lining, but not unbearable even in summer. They are $120 most places online. I bought them primarily because a local shop had them in stock so I could try them on and with the sale price they were not any more expensive than ordering.

I also have Tourmaster overpants that are waterproof and I keep them in my saddlebag as my rain pants. They have knee armor and hip pads. They are also warmer due to the waterproof barrier decreases any ventilation. They were about $160 locally.

Last I have a pair of Fox Creek leather chaps that I picked up cheap used. They are nice to wear over jeans in cooler weather.

I probably wear the Scorpion jeans by themselves 80-90% of the time. Rain or possible rain and the overpants are on. Cooler weather and it is the chaps and/or overpants.

These are some of the ones I'm considering getting:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mens-CE-ARM...r=690594859292

then I found these, which were even less expensive:

Still considering which to get, but thought I would let you know about them, too.
