Default 70900071A problem

Hi All
I have imported an 07 Road King from USA (Living in Sweden) and cause the old speedo died a buoght and istalled the 70900071a. Everything works fine but the odometer part.
Is this beacuse the old speedo were miles and the new kph?
Thanx for help!

Due to odometer Fraud, this would need to be set in the ECM I believe.

People were rolling odometers back in order to get a higher value when selling, when they made them tamper proof, folks would find a used Speedo/Odometer and change them out.

I think now days, the Dealer will document the original miles before changing the speedo and the new one would start at zero, probably still have to set it up in the ECM as well.

Read your instructions again.....The new spedo should link up to the ECM and the total mileage should be correct. I did mine and everything was as it was suppose to be. My new spedo even shows what gear I'm in. The original one did not. I have an 06 Roadking.

well, the above is not correct. at least in my experience. when I switched my wife's gauges on her 2012 rgc, I ordered the speedo with a set mileage. she rode her bike until she hit that mileage, and then we switched the gauge out. it counted down from 33 miles to zero, at which time it was permanently locked to her bike, but the mileage works fine.

also, some of the p&a gauges just have to download the mileage from the ecm with a data cable.

Hi
Everything work just fine with the data transfer and the speedo itself works fine..... it just the odometerpart that only shows 999999 and the trip meter does not move at all.....
I was thinking that the ECM do not understand that the new speedo is an Km/H meter? The old one was a miles meter.....

Do anyone knows if it possible to factory reset the meter so atleast i can sell it as used?

Thanx for your help! And scuse me for my poor english.....
