This douchebag is the sole reason why I bought an Indian after I wrecked my Fat Boy a few months ago.

Fk Levatich and Fk Harley.
cut off your nose to spite your face.

I don't care who's running the show, I love the Harley’s I have and I wouldn’t buy a new Indian because I disagreed with CEO

Ouch... So my RK would end up somewhere around 27-30K right now..Thats not really all that fair as it is. with current tariffs. It cant cost too much to physically ship a bike over there ( tariffs not included) when your doing volume.

Guess he missed the part about Indian seriously considering moving some production out of the US to its assembly plant in Poland.....

Indian is not getting any blow back from the Riders or from Trump for several reasons.

One, the Poland plant has been in operation for years building their powersports line for the overseas market. Two, Indian is not laying off American workers to open the plant and move the line overseas. They are actually expanding the Spirit Lake facility to handle increased demand and to expand the lines for the FTR 750 and FTR 1200 coming out in the next few months. So they are likely to add workers. Three, Indian is still small at 25K bikes per year. Possibly 30-35K next year so they aren't as much a household name to make an example out of. Four, they didn't sit down in closed doors sessions with Trump and not reveal their future plans. HD did that. I'm sure that pissed Trump off. And five, same as HD they are bikes for the overseas market only. Frame and engines will still be made here and shipped overseas for assembly. I believe Harley is doing the same thing in that regard.

Not buying a (IMHO) superior product over your dislike of the CEO is just hilariously silly. I think you'll be very very narrow in what you will purchase if you apply that everywhere.

If you live in Europe and can afford a Harley, you are pretty well off. They are to bikes in the EU what BMW is like to folks here in the US -- pricey foreign imports,

The only motorcycle HD builds/manufactures overseas are the Street 500/750 and that is the India plant. Thailand is an assembly plant (CKD kits shipped from USA). And they didn't close the KC plant to move production to Thailand or an European plant. It was closed because the Dyna line and the V-rod line were discontinued. The Street line (poor sales) and the Sportster production was moved to York. Remember the Sportster is supposed to be redesigned with a new engine. It made sense to move the lines to York and some of the KC positions were also moved there.

And Indian has very few full time employees as they use a temporary hiring agency to get their workers. During the slow months they lay them off.

Not by me. Thus IMHO.

20,000 absolutely 100% trouble-free miles on my 2016. I've never owned a metric that made it 20,000 miles with no troubles.
