My impression is that there were fewer bikes this year than last year, but not by a bunch. Still, plenty of bikes, and a great time, like usual!

Surely there are some rallies near you that you could use as Sturgis warm ups. Plenty of them around here, lots of camping, booze, girls, music and bikes. All in no particular order.

I've been to the Sturgis twice. The only time I'd go back is when the rally is not going on.

been to Sturgis every year since 1980 except for two times. I am 73 years young and hope to go many more times. This year for some reason was the best rally in many years. I stayed at the Lamphere ranch and there was only one a## h#### revving up his bike every two hours all night. There were a lot more younger riders this year and a lot of ladies riding nice custom bikes and they knew how to ride them. Also there seemed to be a lot more bikes that were ridden to Sturgis instead of trailered.
