After having my Ultra Classic for 8 years I was tired of crawling on the garage floor so I bought a J&S last November when they had a sale and free shipping. I debated whether to buy one or go with a full lift table. Two weeks ago I sold my Harley Ultra and the jack won't work on my BMW K1600 GTL so it's just sitting...I should have bought the lift table. I may wind up with another Harley and/or a Triumph Bonneville so it will probably come in handy again but it pains me to know I spent all that cash and it's just sitting now less than a year after I bought it.
To answer some's question above, I have the Harbor Freight aluminum jack and it works fine. You have to be careful when by yourself getting the jack started up from the side stand, but that's probably true of all jacks.

sorta true. Was really an issue with the j&s. The arms of the lot portion were longer. I triple check that the bike is fully over the arms of the hft lift. Take me longer to get it started.
