The wife was driving home to Arizona from California on the I-10 today and happened upon a large group (approximately 80 members) of 1%ers out for a ride. The MC was taking up two lanes. The problem... I-10 is only two lanes wide for long stretches. Accordingly, the MC was preventing anyone from passing them.
I dont usually ride in large groups so Im asking you all, is there a safety reason or some other just cause for a group ride to take up more than one lane or is this simply an exercise of douchebaggery?
I've been on the I-95 many times, riding behind two transports tying up the lanes for miles. Don't see an issue, but it is aggravating. I was going to pull off and sit it out a bit, but, I'm sure, there'd be another two 18 wheelers doing it again. Why didn't high beam them to move over ha ha. Don't agree, but it happens.
Were they going the speed limit? Might have been an effort to improve the public image of 1%r's by obeying traffic laws.
Just like grandpa sitting in the fast lane at exactly 65.."I am going the speed limit, I am entitled to the fast lane"
Maybe the group was looking to provoke road rage, who wants to flip a bird at them?

BUT...were there any woman bikers on black SGS using their cell phones that passed you going real fast, and if so, did they signal using a single rear tailight on their super low mileage bike that the CEO told them wasn't important that it was American (but needed upgrades) however it was able to avoid deer near slippery painted lines?
That's what I want to know.
You said one percenters, -
What would you expect?
They are just droids doing what they are told..
They are the strong arm of the circle.
Their bosses wear suits.
