I really disliked Anchorage and turned down a job there once after visiting for a week and ended up in Texas. There were other AK places I really liked but the job offer only ended up in Anchorage, unfortuanately. Just my experience and opinion.

Anchorage SUCKS...
Only reason to hit Anchorage is if you are flying in or out...
Gotta get out of Anchorage as fast as you can. Everywhere else in Alaska is awesome.
