Default Screaming eagle question

looking into purchasing a bike and getting screaming eagle upgrades. Does anyone know a general turn around rate for this to be added via dealer? (I know dealer would know better) figured I’d as any of those that have done this process.

looking at a 2019 Road king special with getting a stage 3 Screamin eagle.

Personally I would go with aftermarket and good Indy vs dealer installed screamin eagles parts.

I also like the aftermarket products and Indy shops.

I think the quality of aftermarket parts is much better than HD and wouldn't really trust a HD mechanic

I would reach out to Hillside, Kirby tman or fuelmoto and explain what your looking for and your riding style and build it with parts that will compliment your style versus bolt on parts at HD

Warranty would be factor here. Will the dealer stand by the factory with HD parts they install, and not the standard 90 warranty on parts and labor. Will the whole bike stay in the 2 year warranty? That would be my concern.

If you install SE Stage 3 kit within 60 days of purchase, it’s covered under the 2 year factory warranty. If you install after 60 days, the stage 3 parts are covered under their own warranty, but the remainder of your bike remains covered by the factory warranty. If you go to aftermarket performance parts, wave by-by to your entire powertrain warranty. If warranty doesn’t matter to you, then as said, there are better performance gains to be had with aftermarket parts then HD. I’m not so sure about longevity or reliability, one vs. the other, but that’s a different conversation. If warranty does matter, then your limited to HD kits.

My dealer is installing a stage 3 kit on delivery of my new 2019 Low Rider, for ~$2400 installed, including the SE tuner. They are having a 15% off P&L off season sale.

What McHad wrote and that includes a tuner.

What do you mean by turnaround time? How long it will take the dealer to do the work, or how long to get the parts in? I did the SE 1200 kit to my Sporty. Took six weeks for it to arrive but I'm also in Canada. I'm sure it's much quicker within the US.
