I did one on a Honda a bazillion years ago. I gave it a shot, figured I had nothing to lose. Came out pretty good, surprised myself. Use the other wheel as a pattern to get the spoke pattern right.

When my spikes rusted some years back I couldn’t find someone who knew how to lace a wheel in a city of 60,000, so I did it myself following the directions in the service manual. I rode on those wheels for ten years then built a new set that I’ve ridden since. It’s not rocket surgery.

I have done a lot of them-just follow the FSM.
Make a jig to hold the wheel.
It is a long long way from rocket science.
It looks more intimidating than it actually is.

Worse case try a bicycle shop, a lot of those guys do spokes all the time, maybe one of those mountain bike guys can help or point you in the right direction.

i am actually in the same situation as you so I asked a few people at the bike shop who does wheels and I now have a good contact. Sometimes asking around pays off

Try Osborn USA here in Ft. Wayne. About 2 hour drive from Indianapolis. They are independent and do a lot of tires (and more). Can probably do spokes. Been around for a long time. 260-422-5942. Lower than dealer costs.

I would offer to not bother with the dealership. My local dealership sends them out to my Indy, so I cut out the middle man and go to him directly. He does all my spoked wheels, which somehow over the years has become a lot of wheels.

Unless it is a motorcycle shop doing the work, make sure the off set is correct. The service manual will tell you what it is.

Most dealers won't lace one anyway they'll just try to sell you a new or takeoff wheel, indy or dirt bike shop as been said.

PS if we are only talking about one spoke, and you have the means to remove and re-install the tire, this becomes a five minute job. Technically you are not re-lacing or truing the wheel. Opinions may vary.
