What you did is a great idea,I'd keep it up and if the HOG Chapter doesn't like it,tell them they can take your membership and 10 percent discount and shove it.
Everyone has their own opinions, and some feel the need to shove there's in your face all the time. Take the comments with a grain of salt. I think they look excellent and would be a welcome addition to my desk at work, kind of make me feel like I'm escaping mentally for a moment or two.
Only constructive criticism is the glare due to the shield but who cares, makes it look authentic.
These are great shots! I just ordered a Ram ball mount system from Cycle-goodies .com. It's a u bolt that bolts to the handlebars and has a rubber ball that a arm mounts to. The camera pod has a stud for a camera and also a rubber ball. Pretty versatile. I was thinking of rigging up a camcorder but I'm not sure how the vibration will affect the movies. I have been looking at new camcorders with image-stabilization, anybody ever use one of these on their bikes? Hope to get something going for our trip out west to Sturgis and beyond.
I personally enjoy photos of this nature more, it brings the whole experience together.
Could you guys could post your mounts attached to the bike for us please.
Here ya go - no comments about the bugs damm*t - I was breaking bugs not brusing bugs while RIDING!
Garmin 550 and camera mount.
Camera mount - the ram system came with the Garmin but it works very good with my digital camera. The camera has a recessed nut in it so I just screw on the camera and go....
This is the Garmin mount - you can find it in chrome or black at www.radarbusters.com
....and yes I know - the bike is dirty - I need to give it a bath.
