Yes. If you have the vin you can call the archives in Milwaukee. They have to look it up the file on microphish. 81 and up you can access at any dealer for info by vin. It will give you engine case numbers. Vin and bottom case numbers. Lower fork legs. Transmission case. Your production number is part of your vin number. First 2 digits are model. Next 5 digits is your production number. Starts at 10,001. last 2 are the decade and year for shovelhead. It will give the color also. My bike was ordered by a dealer here in NH for a customer. So I got that date too. There's a few flh models around. I know of 3. And still only found 2 Flh sport models like mine. Gotta be few more still stashed somewhere. Hope you find one if your looking.

being that i am here in Germany, i don't think ill ever find one, at least not one that could afford , & from what i am hearing the import tax is going to go up for American Bikes & parts next year . . . (thanks Don !) Any way , you mentioned in one of your posts "somethings just got to stay in the family" my Dad sold my Moms 66 GTO for only 400 $ back in the mid 70's, so for me its "somethings just gotta a dream" Lol , but hey i've got 2 very nice Wide Glides !

Put up couple pics of your bikes. Like to check them out. I'm in process now of installing a 1947 HD sidecar to my Confederate. I'm going to paint it to match. I wIll post pics when it's done. Keep an eye out for the gto. You might find it. This Harley I have was 76 miles from my dad's house 38 yrs later.

They both look great. Probally a dumb question but here goes. What access do you have to Harley stuff in Germany? Obviously I've never been there. Here we have parts swapmeet all over the place almost year round to find stuff. Other than eBay. Lol.

Have you ever heard of J.W.Boon ? his company sells NOS OEM H-D parts, & i use ebay international sellers & have very good luck so far, i like animalhouse , they specialise in H-D OEM & take off's & not far from me is a German Co. called " W&W Cycles " i also have had very good luck with ebay local adds so between these & other go to sellers i have no problems . . . but sometimes shipping from the US is very expensive ! Is there something your looking for ? i am looking for this OEM Fender Medallion . . . . my Holy Grail Part !

I just emailed a buddy. He has been in business here since the 60s. If he don't have it I will be surprised. Let you know. Not sure if your a member of amca? They have classified/sell parts section to for old stuff. The only thing I need is a windshield for 77 sportster. I have a xlt touring model. Gonna restore it at some point. Only made 1099 that year. And 3 in 78. It's called the Baby Dresser. Pic is from the internet. Mine is this blue originally too. Currently all in pieces.
