Default 2:1 solution for stretched bags.

I want to install a 2:1 pipe on my Road King Special, but it has stretched bags (with the cutout for pipes). I expect it may look kinda silly with a cutout where the left pipe was, so I have a few options. Order some OEM standard midnight blue lower bags from HD, find someone a set off a ‘19 street glide and swap, or pick up a single aftermarket stretched bag lower without the cutout. I’d prefer to keep the stretched look, though I’m not married to it. The aftermarket bag lower is probably going to be the easiest, as it will let me keep the original in case I ever decide to go back to duals. Regular bag lowers will have the advantage of being able to stand upright when off the bike, unlike the stretched ones that won’t.

Anyway, my real question is on the quality of the Advan Black stuff. Is it even close to OEM? They will paint too I think. Being pretty much a brand new bike, I’d want the finish to be perfect, and I’m not sure about their offshore sources...

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

I saw a 2 into 1 on a bagger from behind yesterday, I thought it looked funny. (I do not think it looked good) I asked about it and was told that you can get a "ghost" pipe.

I would think if you decided to go the standard bag route you would have people lining up to swap bags with you for the stretched bags. That would be the easiest solution but I'm a big fan of the stretched bags (the ones from harley not the obscene stretched show bike bags). My buddy has a road king special and wanted a 2 into 1 pipe but ended up going with duals just so everything would look right.

With ghost pipe. Its winter here so bike is in storage but, I have a set of hogworkz stretch bags sitting in the man cave waiting for spring. That is a 2 into 1 fatcat.

I have seen baggers with a single cut out for the 2:1 ..( right stretched bag with cut out while left bag has none ) I thought it looked good.... I bet you can get a single bag for your bike through HD.... what do you do if you lay your bagger down and only need one bag... you replace it !!!

Yeah but that would require me to buy and change both bags, plus I don’t want something that elaborate/fancy... I’ll either find a single stretched bag bottom that matches the factory like Advan Black’s, or I’ll find someone who wants to swap for their standard length bags. Unless you just meant the single cutout bag, then that’s exactly what I was thinking, only with a factory (style) bag.

I was was hoping someone here would have an opinion on the quality of Advan Black’s bags,
