Default mid frame air deflectors

Does anyone have experience on the mid frame air deflectors for passenger comfort ? I have an 08 ultra and my wifes right ankle gets hot , i would buy them if they would help . Going on a cross country trip in may for 4-6 weeks florida cali and washgington state . How about wrapping the pipe with heat insulation ?
looking for ideas , the bike is stock except for slip ons .

I installed the right side only, it lets some of the heat dump out the left side.
I'm told it helps quite a bit above the ankle but not a lot on the ankle.

I second this recommendation. I put one of his crotch coolers on my 06 Electra Glide and it made a huge difference in the heat coming off the motor and rear cylinder exhaust pipe.

you can get a set off amazon for about $20. look identical to the hd ones. then go into your local hd and buy the mounting hardware. consists of: 2 speed nuts, pn: 8108; 2 blind nuts, pn: 8104; 4 bolts, pn: 3189; 4 washers, pn: 6036. the hardware itself isn't special, if you have a good hardware store nearby (i don't) you can save a couple of bucks picking it up there. cheap enough experiment to see if it would work for you.
