I have to ask.....
If it lines up why not make a tab the fits in both female slots.
If you can and the seat fits in the right spot drill a couple holes in the female portion, line up the male portion then drill and tap it.
.
1. The seat pan won't fit the contour of the Softail frame.
2. The correct seat has these mounting tabs to hold it in position. Without them there's no way to hold the seat to the frame.
Making modifications to something is great unless the juice isn't worth the squeeze and in this case it isn't.

Exactly right. The contour is totally different. The fellow that sold it to me offered to make things right but I'm not sure what there is to do. I don't really want to ship it back. The best thing would be to know what it fits and sell it locally. Someone said a roadking anyone else have any ideas what it may fit?
This sucks because it would be perfect for my bike, its exactly what ive been looking for. Slim yet very similar to stock.
Go to the LePera website I posted, look at pictures of seats for Road King, Street Glide, Road Glide and whatever until you find one that matches the one you have. Or, call LePera customer service, explain your situation and get an email for someone who can ID the seat by a picture. The model number would have been on a silver tag that was obviously removed.

Copy on what "Hey Man" said about the Street, Road, Ultra & Electra glides as well. That seat is just like the one I have on my '09 RKC...Nice seat, should sell quickly if posted...
The Le Pera people are extremely helpful on the phone. Email them the photo and they will tell exactly what you have. As far as I know, there are no model numbers on any of their seats.
