Default Which Bike...

Looking at buying a new (to me) bike, I had a 02 Nighttrain that I loved until a really bad accident totaled it, I healed and ended up a a 13 Roadglide until last summer when I had to sell it to pay some bills from a divorce and because the accident damage and resulting arthritis in my leg made the Roadie too heavy and painful to manuever at low speed, parking lots etc...Now I'm trying to decide on what to pick up, specifically between another Nighttrain, a wide glide, or maybe a fatboy, all are between 2002 and 2008 with one wideglide being a 2011 thats got 40k+ miles and needs a little help cosmetic wise, all are in the same ballpark money wise...Thoughts? Will I be happy on a wideglide versus a Nighttrain etc

I would recommend something from the Dyna family....great all around bikes....my favorite is the Super Glide Custom with forward controls, but Wide Glides are very nice, too.....not sure what your budget is, but you should be able to find a really nice nice Dyna for $5,000 - 7,000 ......good luck!

I'm looking at this one right now.....

Thats about my budget, I love the performance and looks of the superglides and low riders but even with forward controls I feel cramped on them...

I personally love my wide glide (although I've never been on a night train). It was the lightest frame with the biggest motor (at least at the time).

It's not the best low speed handling, but its good enough.

I'm very comfortable on a Night Train or superglide with standard forwards, I had a 2012 WG and the forwards were at my limit.

I'm 5'6 &5/16" tall. So if you have height go for the WG....or extended forwards on a superglide

A Softail Custom is a lot like a Train and you can get them very reasonably priced.

Here's one with low miles for a great price.

I had an ‘06 Night Train. Loved it. Used to trade with my buddy who had an ‘09 Street Bob and I gotta say, that Dyna setup really rode nice.

If I had to choose between the two for pure riding, I’d get a Street Bob. Looks....Night Train all week long.
