A lady my wife works with is getting a divorce and is selling her bike. She is asking $4000. It's a 2013 883 with 2800 miles. Whats it worth? Im considering buying it for my wife.
You are gonna get a lot of 'expert' opinions here regarding value. Here, to me, is what it's about. Let's say you pay the asking price. Someone is gonna say...you shoulda only paid 3200. OK, 800 bucks. You keep the bike 5 years. That's 160 a year....that's about 13 bucks a month...you and your Mrs. are gonna get a whole lot more enjoyment for 13 bucks a month if you go ahead and buy it than worrying about whether or not you paid too much. Just my opinion.
Sounds like a fair deal, but remember that you may have to end up buying something more expensive for her in a year. Are you sure you want to go down that road?
