I've only seen comment on 1 M8 Softail that sumped. I vaguely remember reading some comment about it some time ago. Can't confirm it for sure. Even if true, it's seems sumping is pretty rare - if it even happens at all - with M8 Softails.

The vast majority - almost the entirety - of M8 Softail owner experience seems to be positive. At least that what I've read so far on the forums. Some complaints about some minor stuff. Most common complaints from Heritage owners that I come across seem to revolve around the fake gas cap rattling and a belt rubbing noise when coasting to a stop.

I'm not aware of any M8 Softails that have a hydraulic clutch.

I just got back from my dealership with my 2019 Road Glide Ultra. Had the 1000 mile service done. Bike actually had about 1400 miles on it. Service manager says my bike has this problem. He says their ordering a seal kit that’s supposed to fix it. I guess I’ll find out. I wasn’t aware it was an issue until I got home and googled it.

Sure it's not a inner primary vent kit that they ordered?

I had the vent kit installed 2,000 miles ago. Looks like it took 100% care of my '19 migration issue.

Could be. I thought he said seal kit. I’ll find out This week Tuesday. Hope it works!

Yes, you are correct. Just read the service receipt and work order for the next appointment. It says Vent Kit.

Not for nothing, the new M8s might be an engineering marvel of powerplant efficiency and performance but the powertrain of motorcycles really hasn't changed all that much in a very, very long time. Look at the compensator issues of the pre-2011s; and now the transfer.

Do they even so much as take a spin around the test track once before releasing a new model?

I've got 5,200 miles on my 19 Ultra 107 with no sumping or transfer so far.
