Are you serious, did you read my question.

i just asked about chocking the front wheel while lifting rear wheel. Lifting of the rear wheel isn’t the issue

just wondered if it was safe enough to lift rear wheel without chocking front tire

I have all the jacks and tools to do the job, unless I need a wheel chock that is, then I’ll get one of those also

I'm dead serious. If you have to ask a question about a wheel chock then doing a cam swamp is probably out of your league but hey, it's your bike do as you wish.
Good luck and please if you get a chance, post up some dyno pics after you do the swap.

I’ve got my service manual, all the tools, I’ve watched the Fathead Cam Install videos until that’s all I see in my sleep.

i just wondered about the front wheel being free on a jack, like I said, I don’t have much experience lifting a touring bike.

LOL, mechanically I’m pretty sure I can handle the job

I am a FORD Senior Master so I lift cars all day long LOL, just wasn’t sure about the bike front wheel flopping around.

I was planning on putting my front wheel against a lift arm and strapping it down with my ratchet straps, lift the rear wheel enough to turn tire and just work off the floor

Not sure if I’ll have access to a Dyno right away, but I definitely want to see what it does.

see I can actually lift stuff

this is is how I thought about putting lift arm then chocking wheel against lift arm, then strapped down

Or maybe lift it under the frame with 2 lift arms?

If you are such a Master Ford Tech, I am surprised at your stupid question on lifting a Harley. How many F350's have you lifted? Dumbing it down, you need to lift the bike so that it is stable in order to rotate the tire for proper tire rotation for the cam installation. Based on your questions, I hope that you have the Full Service Manual for the application as you would in doing your every day job. I hope you never work on my Ford

Why so much attitude, I just was asking a simple question,

Just never lifted a touring bike is all, on a car/truck I have 4 solid lift points, don’t worry about it going anywhere

I have the HD Full Service manual

I see a lot of your post , and you seem like a real ****ing tool

Geez, cut him some slack. He asked a simple question about something he's not familiar with. Looking back at your posts, you've done the same.

A motorcycle jack like the one Harbor Freight sells for $80.00 works very nicely to lift the entire bike. This with the $20.00 stool lifts the entire bike so you can both spin the rear wheel and sit on the stool with the cam chest at just the right height to work comfortably. The jack comes in very handy for many jobs like oil changes and cleaning your wheels.

I've used one of these for 10 years flawlessly.
