Weight issues
So who would like to lose some weight and feel like a real person again? I've personally been trying to lose weight for 20+ years, looked at a lot of low carb stuff but never realized the commitment it takes to really make it work... So just about a year ago we ( the wife too) threw out all the crap in the pantry and really took the leap to get sugar and processed carbs out of our lives... We started eating real food ( the best meat we could afford and the freshest veggies we could find) and our health and lives have improved so much! I was pre diabetic and my wife was badly diabetic... Now we are both off all medication and have normal blood sugars, Just youtube keto and you can find so much information and recipes, you can eat and eat and lose weight too... I would like to get this across to the masses because the scourge of sugar in our diet is killing us! Let me know what you think...

I did the low carb diet a couple years ago. I wasn't that much overweight. The low carb worked for me. I reached my target weight within a few months then started adding carbs. My weight was easy to control after I reached my target of 22 lbs of weight loss. I started eating more carbs but watched my intake.
My blood work started turning out better too. I didn't have any diabetic problems but it corrected Cholesterol problem that I had. It was the first time my total cholesterol was below 200 for the first time that I could remember. My high blood pressure got better too. I'm at a point that I need to loose about 5lbs again. I'll just cut back on the carbs again and I'll have that gone in a couple weeks.
Good luck on your low carb diet. It's not easy finding foods that aren't full of sugar or other refined carbs.
I never did the no to very low carbs. Well when I first started I went with ultra low carbs to go into KETO. There was a lot of foods that I had to turn down.
I found out that reducing carbs by just doing stuff like not easing cake, drinking sodas that were full of carbs getting away from most bread and a few other things, My weight just slowly started dropping
I was shocked to see how many carbs were in the beer that I was drinking. I kike my beer and it was the reason I had a huge spare tire. I was drinking Corona and it had 13 carbs per beer. I could drink a 12 pack of that a day.
I swapped over to Michelob Ultra Lite with 2.6 carbs per beer.
It would be a good idea to do some exercise on a KETO diet because you will also lose muscle on a low carb diet.

We are on the low carb lifestyle here for the last 2 months. So far we both lost 15 pounds. One thing I have learned is how many carbs are in the food I used to eat. What makes this diet doable is my wife is creative in the kitchen and can make the most mondain food taste like a gourmet meal.

I stopped smoking a few years ago and wow went up to 236!
My wife and I have been Keto(low carb and no sugar) since Sept. I am down to 187. My goal is 180. I feel 20 years younger!
Michelob Ultra is the key to life.....2.6 carbs. It takes some getting used to.
I have closet full of HD t shirts that no longer fit.....
