Yep, I have always heard Range Rovers had bad electrical problems, and were very expensive to maintain. My real world results are different. Over 145K miles on our 2012 Range Rover Evoque. One repair, a failed module, just under $450 to replace. All the rest has been routine maintenance like a brake job, a battery and oil changes. Thats it.
Toyota, suppose to be one of the most reliable. The 2009 FJ Cruiser we had and traded for the Evoque, I had more money in repairs on it in 50K miles than I do in the Evoque.
If you read consumer reports, range rovers score low. I'll most likely replace this Evoque with a new one once it starts nickel and dimeing me.
I just cut a deal on a new Street Glide Special in Billiard blue.
I think I am going to miss my FXDLS, but damn, the long trips I take now that I moved out of my hometown, are brutal. I still ride the 200 miles to ride with my buddies.
Tell me it is going to be okay!!!
As for the bikes I miss before this Harley:
-2001 Blackbird
-2005 ZX12-R...201 HP at the rear tire
-2008 Triumph Sprint 1050
-2009 Hayabusa
Those 4 were favorites! I do love this FXDLS, and I wish I could afford both!
Watch for some parts coming up for sale, including my custom leather C&C seat, my bags, etc. I will make you guys some good deals on the piles of new parts I have.
Do bikes that you regret wrecking fit in this category?
I layed a BMW r90s down in the early 90s down in Chilacothee, Ohio. Bent the frame and totaled it.
I plan on buying another next year. I'll either get one and restore it, or buy one that is restored. I think I'd prefer the former. I was a college kid back then and had to do all the work myself as I could not afford to hire it done.
