Seriously, any dealer should be able to help you.
I took my 25 year-old Evo in for new tires. Didn't buy it there (not even from the same state), but they even knew what color it used to be, before I re-painted it.

Ive used https://www.instavin.com/ for a couple of bikes. No idea how accurate it is or it they truly show everything major. I did pay them to pull the ones I bought. Neither had anything alarming on the report, nor has anything on the bikes suggested otherwise..

To check for accidents with a claim ask your insurance agent to run the VIN. If it is his company he will have all the details. Another company should still give amount of claim and when. It will take him all of a minute and won't cost a thing.
