Yes, a lot of the weight on the GS is low but a good portion of the weight and mass is high and in front of the rider, which I don't like, not even on a Touring bike. The Pan America appears to have less mass high on the bike and in front of the rider which is why I want to test ride one ASAP.

I think my Road King is much more top heavy compared to the GS1250--or any adventure bike I have been on. The Road King, or any HD touring especially the Ultas, are bikes where you sit on them you think, 'yeah this feels like an 800 pounds bike' Not just when sitting still but also in corners. To me, the GS doesnt feel like a 600 pound bike. Not even close to that in terms of perceived weight. But that is only my perception and others ma have different opinions on feel. A bike like the ~540 pound Vstorm even more so. Feels and handles more like a bicycle in corners rather than a 500 pound motorcycle.

I felt every bit of my 600lbs with the GS. But that was because I was constantly picking it up off the ground

Have you ever ridden GSA? People who never rode GS are always argumenting with stupid magazine writers words about low center of gravity of BMW boxer engine. It is no that right exactly. The engine has crank at the same position as other engine layouts. And the boxer engine is wide so its "low" center is kinda floating when you are slowly riding offroad. Especially if you have your 8 gallon tank full. And tank location is not "low" here. And as was mentioned above the GSA got some unusual weight distribution that is a thing to get used to. Tiger 1200 weighs less than GSA has smaller tank and feels much more as usual road bike. I have an opportunity to compare both.

PS. BTW. That mammoth logo H-D Novosibirsk dealership whose video shared here. I've worked for them as service manager 5 years ago.

They better come up with some way to sell them because the updated 1100 Africa Twin and AT Adventure Sport will be out soon. Local dealer here has only one, a 2018 ATAS DCT and he said his Honda rep just told him to “unload it” because of the all new one will be that much better.

Yes, I have experience with the GSA as well as the Super Adventure, but not the Africa Twin. I've sad on it but that's it. I remember it has a really retro look compared to other adventure bikes, and no doubt that's a selling point with some people.

I'm with MiniWolf on the question of weight. The GSA is a giant bike, for sure. However, compared to a Harley touring bike it feels very light and nimble to me.
